You Look Abominable!
I’ve always like drawing the Abomination. Mr. Blonsky looks like the lovechild of the Creature from the Creature From the Black Lagoon and a Ms. Olympia contestant, which is an empirically horrible/terrific mash-up by any standard, really.
Bulky strong guys I seem to draw with more ease. I don’t fret realistic proportions like with an average or even a superhero-type human. It present an opportunity to loosen up and exaggerate and go bonkers with anatomy. And Bad guys, especially ugly ones, they’re the most fun to draw–I mean, come on–because they’re…well…so bad! Rules go out the window. I mean (and let’s fly off to the bordering countries of Hypothetical and Tangent-land) if I’d chosen to act instead of illustrate for a profession, which you should really thank me for not doing, typecast me the villain! It just looks so darn fun. All that gauntlet wearing. And the capes! Oh my gosh, the capes! Try blogging in gauntlets and a cape sometime. You’ll be glad you did.
