As you may already know, I was diagnosed with follicular lymphoma last July. It’s been about three months since my last chemotherapy treatment. The fatigue and nausea are behind me for now. The celebration, alas, is over as well. Now I’m stepping back into a life my family and I had to put on hiatus. I’m working on rebuilding my health by eating better and reintegrating exercise into my daily routine. I’m an active father and husband again. It feels really good.
The next steps to my restoration is my artistic work including this website. Despite the odd post here or there, I’ve never fully committed myself to sharing on a regular basis. I’d like to change that, so I’m committing to post weekly. Hopefully, I will post something you will find worthy of your attention and edification. A few project I began before my diagnosis and treatment have remained in stasis. I hope to resurrect them and bring them to you. Stay tuned.
As a technical matter, I also plan to change things up on the website behind the curtains, which you may not notice but will benefit your experience nonetheless, and on stage as well.
Thank you for all your kindness, friendship, and words of encouragement over these past months.
I drew the above illustration on sketch paper with 2H pencil, inked it with a brush and dip pen, and then colored it in Photoshop.
